Rowland Pym, British 1905-2010 - Landscape with two figures; ink on paper, 20 x 28.8 cm: together with another work by the same artist, 'Top Hats, study for a mural at Hyde Park Hotel', ink and watercolour, signed lower right, 20.8 x 16.3 cm (2) (ARR) Provenance: private collection, gifted by the artist and thence by descent Note: celebrated for his playful and nostalgic style, reminiscent of his contemporary Rex Whistler, Pym created illustrations for books including the novels of Nancy Mitford and Thackeray's 'Vanity Fair'.
