ATTRIBUTED TO WANG HUI (1632-1717)Two album leaf paintings Ink and colour on paper, each with two apocryphal seals of the artist and calligraphic inscriptions, one bearing a signature, both glazed and framed. Each painting, 35.4cm (13 7/8in) wide x 25cm (9 3/4in) long. (2). 王翬(款) 山水 一組兩幅 水墨設色紙本 鏡框裝裱 Provenance : according to the labels, acquired in Hong Kong in 1936 來源 :據標籤,於1936年購自香港 Wang Hui (1632-1717), styled Shigu, was one of the Four Wangs, conservative painters of the Qing dynasty. Together, they encapsulated orthodox methods and styles of the Yuan and Song tradition of painting. See a landscape painting, hanging scroll, attributed to Wang Hui, which was sold at New York, 20 September 2021, lot 111.
