His political career developed after he joined the Liberal Party in 1937 and went on to become vice-president of the St. Marylebone Liberal Association and Prospective Liberal Parliamentary Candidate for Louth in Lincolnshire. Pryce-Jones became editor of The Times Literary Supplement from 1948-1959 and trustee of the National Portrait Gallery 1950-1961.λ Indicates that this lot may be subject to Droit de Suite royalty charges.
