A SET OF SIX CHINESE INK CAKES, HU KAIWEN Late 19th / early 20th Century Each ink cake moulded in relief with a scene from the Huangshan mountains highlighted with traces of gilt and green, the reverse with an accompanying inscription, each cake with a hu kaiwen mark to the side, together with a fitted cloth box, 5.8 - 7.7cm long (7) 十九世紀晚期/二十世紀早期 胡開文制黃山六景藏墨 Note: Founded in 1782 in southern Anhui Province, the Hu Kaiwen Ink Factory is the oldest factory for Hui ink cakes in China.
