An example of a Qianlong wucai 'dragon and phoenix' bowl is in the Nanjing Museum with the more commonly seen dragon roundel, illustrated in Treasures in the Royalty. Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty (I), 2005, Beijing, p.237.圓唇微侈，身腹微鼓，下收於圈足，足圈略斂，口沿外壁飾青花五彩如意及八寶一圈，碗外壁繪龍鳳兩對，行龍降鳳追逐火珠於落葉繽紛之間，足墻外壁、口沿內壁及碗心繪青花弦紋兩匝，碗心繪礬紅蝙蝠紋五隻，足圈底部書青花「大清乾隆年製」 六字篆書款。此類五彩龍鳳紋碗康熙以來御窯廠每朝必燒，為官窯瓷器之固定品種，碗心多繪團龍紋，而本件碗心繪紅彩蝙蝠紋，頗為少見。參考南京博物院藏一件清乾隆五彩龍鳳紋碗，碗心為五彩團龍紋，其餘紋飾釉彩與本件頗似，見徐湖平編，《中國清代官窯瓷器》，上海，2003年，頁282。景德鎮陶瓷館藏一件清乾隆五彩龍鳳紋碗亦可比較之，惟龍鳳色彩略有出入，碗心繪龍紋，見《江西藏瓷全集—清代上》，北京，2005年，頁237。
