FANG SHISHU (1692-1751)Landscape after Dong Yuan (?-962), 1737 Hanging scroll, ink and light color on paper, inscribed by the artist and dated dingsi and signed Xiaoshi Daoren , with an artist's seal Fang Shishu yin ; with a second inscription by the artist, date illegible, signed Shishu , with two artist's seals, one reading Xunyuan and the other illegible, possibly ouran shide ; with an artist's seal Huanshan Mo at the lower right corner. 47 x 22 3/4in (119.5 x 58cm) 方士庶（1692-1751） 仿董源山水 設色紙本 立軸 一七三七年作 款識： 乾隆二年歲在丁巳十一月初四日，呵凍畫成，小師道人 _ _ 初一日士庶_寒夜燈下_ 鈐印：方士庶印、洵遠、一印漫漶（或為偶然拾得）、環山墨 The artist's first inscription mentions the hanging scroll Longsu Jiaomin Tu (Villagers in Longsu), currently in the collection of the National Palace Museum, and the handscroll Xiashan Yan'ai Tu (Misty Summer Mountains), currently in the collection of the Shanghai Museum, attributed to Dong Yuan (?-962) and his admiration of Dong Yuan's style. The second inscription is the artist's copy of the colophon by Dong Qichang (1555-1636) on Misty Summer Mountains .
