On either side of the neck is an ear ornamented with a dragon motif. On one side, a carved dragon is hugs the vase's body. The dragon has a fierce expression and an expertly carved body and mane, with bat shaped cloud patterns decorating its belly. The jade is elegantly carved, with a rich, glass-like luster, upholding the typical characteristics of Qianlong period jade wares.
