Well painted with the green-skinned six-armed Mahakala striding atop a lotus base, a blood-filled skullcup with skulls and severed heads before him, flanked by a red and a black Mahakala, holding a kapala and kartrika in his main hands, his other four hands radiating around him, wearing a tiger skin, billowing scarves, and ornate jewelry, the face with a wrathful expression, the hair secured by a skull tiara, surrounded by a flaming mandorla, the upper margin with a white and a yellow Mahakala.Provenance: Acquired by the father of the present owners around 1970 and thence by descent.
