Finely carved through the translucent layer of red to the transparent pale amber ground, depicting the dragon gate (longmen) and a dragon carp emerging from churning waves that encircle the base, above a crane, bat, and pavilion floating in swirling clouds, interspersed with auspicious symbols including wan and double circle.
