Ca. 1100-1400 AD.A bronze cruciform pendant with flaring arms, trefoil finials, and an integral circular suspension loop. The obverse is embellished with ring-and-dot designs, the reverse flat and unworked. The Cross, the principal symbol of Christianity, recalls the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death. The cross is thus a sign of Christ himself and the faith of Christians.
