A Chinese Imperial blue & white dragon plate, dating from the Jiaging period (1796-1820). A very fine imperial blue and white dragon plate,painted on the interior with a writing dragon reaching for a flaming peral amidst flame wisps, the underside similarly decorated with two dragons within blue circles,six Jiaqing character mark under the recessed base, and apanied by a square hinged silk box.D. 6 5/8" (16.8 cm)Provenance: collection of Dr, Frank Gabrin, East Orange,New Jersey ,purchased from Tai Sing Fine Antiques Ltd,Hong Kong in 2004 Similar plate was sold in Sotheby's New York on 29 Sep 2021 The Hundred Antiques: Fine and Decorative Asian Arts sale, Lot 902 for $ 8,190 USDCondition: in good condition overall with a faint hairline to the rim at 1'o clock, approx 2.7 cm long
