A Chinese embroidery buzi with pheasant bird design, dating from the Qing dynasty. A pheasant spans the left and right sides of this split buzi, mounted flat on board. Characterized by copper colored thread and a thick border with Chinese symbols over black ground. The pheasant soars above waves.H. 11 1/2" (29.2 cm), W. 12" (30.5 cm)Condition: good condition overall for age and use, textile shows shows some signs of wear, especially around the edges.
