龙泉窑为南方青瓷的代表性窑口，鼎盛与南宋时期，并延续至元明时期继续烧造，元明是龙泉窑开始出现一些大器形的器物，如此件形体硕大的五系罐。罐盘口，溜肩筒腹，肩部置五系，环底，两面贴塑龙纹威仪。通体是翠青釉，釉色呈梅子青色，娇翠欲滴。
