不动佛是初期大乘佛教经典中主持东方世界的佛陀，在密教中往往是与毗广佛（大日如来）、宝生佛、阿弥陀佛、不空成就佛五尊以供，组成所谓的曼陀罗五方佛。此佛面相庄严，五官紧凑似童子。蓝色螺发高髻，头顶宝珠，着祖右袈裟。面形方正，眉正点白毫，弯眉阖目，双耳垂肩，面相祥和，表情宁寂。双肩宽厚，腰部收束，躯体柔软，肌肉饱满；结跏趺坐于仰覆莲台，右手作触地降魔印，左手托钵置腹前结禅定印；在其宝座前有一柄金刚杵，又称做不动金刚杵，这是不动佛的象征和法器。整件作品铸造精良，法相庄严，时代特征鲜明，十分精彩。
此像有三大优点。一：打磨极其精良，镀金厚重其金面光滑亮丽，保存完好。二：整像胎体厚重，铜质精良，做工精致细腻，原应供奉于西藏大寺院或达官显贵家中佛堂。三：衣着袈裟满刻宝相花，透露出浓浓的宫廷气息。
