Description A PAIR OF LACQUERED WOOD PLAQUESSouth China, Ning Po, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The plaques of square form, lacquered and with golden highlights, carved in relief with courtiers in daily pursuits within a roundel with bats and scrolling vines, framed within a square with butterflies, the outer border with mother-of-pearl inlays, the reverse painted with floral sprays.Condition: Very good condition, minor wear to the lacquer and gold color, few age cracks, losses to the inlays, small nicks here and there.Provenance: French private collection, Paris.Weight: 2,630 g (total)Dimensions: Size 41.6 x 41.6 cm (each)
