Description A PAIR OF TURQUOISE GLAZED CERAMIC FIGURES OF RABBITS EATING BERRIESChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Modeled as rabbits seated on their hind legs on the ground and the forelegs raising to their mouths and grasping leafy berries sprays, the animals well detailed with long ears, short tail, and bulging eyes with pierced pupils. Covered overall in a bright turquoise glaze suffused with fine crackle and nicely darkening in the recesses.Condition: With wear and some firing flaws, such as small firing cracks, one rabbit with both tips of the ears reattached and four chips to the leaves, the other with the tip of one ear lost and three chips to the leaves.Provenance: Acquired in the French trade.Weight: 1.2 kg (in total)Dimensions: Height ca. 17 cm each
