Description A BLUE AND WHITE 'COURT LADIES' PORCELAIN DISH, 1920sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) – Republic Period (1912-1949). The dish is decorated in underglaze blue with a central medallion depicting two court ladies in the palace garden playing with a butterfly, the rim decorated with a band of scrolling vines and peonies. The reverse with two floral sprays. An apocryphal six-character Kangxi reign mark to the recessed base.Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, few minuscule burst bubbles to the base.Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1970 and has remained in the family ever since.Weight: 470 gDimensions: Diameter 23.1 cm
