Description A RARE GROUP OF THREE GLAZED YAKIMONO (CERAMIC) NETSUKEJapan, Edo period (1615-1868) - Meiji period (1868-1912)The first depicting a standing Noh dancer with long red hair, holding an open fan in one hand, and wearing long robes. Two small himotoshi at the backside and enameled in polychrome colors.The second depicting Hotei inside his treasure bag, both arms raised to his head. The backside with two small himotoshi. Glazed in white and blue hues.The third depicting Hotei seated and leaning against his treasure bag, his face with a joyful expression, dressed in a robe open at the chest to reveal his chest hair. The underside with an impressed seal mark and with two large himotoshi. Partially glazed in a semitransparent ochre color.HEIGHT 3, 4.4, and 3.7 cmCondition: Overall good condition with surface wear and manufacturing irregularities.Provenance: European collection.
