Attributable to the Group of the Phoenician Palmettes, Ca. 580 - 560 BC. A terracotta kylix with a hemispherical bowl, short pedestal foot, and two equally spaced loop handles. Decorated in a bi-chrome finish that takes advantage of the rich contrasting play between the rich black glaze and buff red ground. This beautiful piece would have been used for wine drinking, usually during social occasions or banquets. Size: L:70mm / W:170mm ; 175gProvenance. English private collection; acquired at Grays Antique Market in the 1980s.
