Wilhelm Philip (1906-1993), expressionist working in Darmstadt, studied in Breslau with Moll and Mueller, and in the meantime was at the Bauhaus. Two large works on paper: Landscape with grotesque figures and blue flower, gouache mixed media on paper, bottom right signed u. dated 1972, partly rubbed u. some color loss, crease, some paper loss under the signature r., sheet dimensions 62 x 85 cm.
