The serpent fibula made of a solid bronze rod. One end has been hammered flat and folded over in a U-shaped cross-section to form the pin holder. Two coils on the top, folded over in a large arc after the second coil, to form the pin holder, and tapering to a point. The top two rings of the chain pendant (measuring 23.3 cm when extended) threaded onto the "pin bow", the pendant divided into multiple strands at the end. Olive-green patina with minor patches of surface corrosion here and there. Delicate herringbone etchings around the edge of the top section. Length 23.3 cm.
