Almost hemispherical bowl with a small, unglazed stand ring that reveals the beige-coloured ware. The exterior with tortoiseshell glaze. The dark, almost black ground enlivened by vertically running sprinkles of reddish, bluish and beige tones. The interior with papercut resist-decoration. Brown rim on top, glaze with fine speckles of dark tones on a beige ground underneath. Three dark, abstract-looking carps, created with the same silhouette of a papercut, stand out clearly. Height 6 cm. Diameter 15 cm. Minor signs of use, otherwise intact and without defects. Typical Jizhou ware, which representativelybines different techniques on one piece.
