A MASSIVE CHINESE BRONZE VASE.Early Qing Dynasty.Of archaistic hu form, with a flattened pear-shaped body supported on a splayed foot, sweeping up to a waisted neck and everted rim, each side with a quatrefoil panel finely cast in high relief to depict a scene of two scholars playing go with a boy attendant below, and the hehe twins, the shoulders set with a pair of handles naturalistically modelled figures of Liu Hai in the round, each borne on a scrolling cloud and with a string of cash symmetrically placed over the shoulders of the vase above a clambering three legged toad, all among scrolling clouds applied to the neck, six character Xuande mark to base, 56cm H.清早期 銅瓶
