A CHINESE LIGHT BLUE GLAZED VASE WITH UNDERGLAZE BLUE, COPPER RED AND WHITE SLIP DECORATION.Qing Dynasty, Qianlong era, 1730 – 1750.With an ovoid body rising to a waisted neck with slightly flared mouth, and painted with chrysanthemums with red blooms, the petals overpainted in white, beside rocks and bamboo stems on which is perched a large bird, 39cm H.清乾隆一七三零 – 一七五零 藍地青花紅白釉下彩瓶This type of vase is extremely rare. Two near identical ormolu-mounted pieces may be found in Ayres, Chinese and Japanese Works of Art in the Collection of Her Majesty the Queen, volume II, 2016, cat no 1382-3.
