涂克：1916年生于广西，1935年考入杭州国立艺专油画系就读。曾随陈毅将军部队进入上海，受命创办"上海美术工场"，任创作组长。他历任《苏中画报》社社长、《江淮画报》社副社长、《山东画报》社美术主任、上海文化局美术处处长、上海美专教务长兼油画雕塑系主任、上海美术设计公司经理、上海画报秘书长、广西书画院副院长、中国美术家协会理事 、中国美术家协会广西分会主席、广西文联副主席等职。是中国著名油画家、美术教育家。
