Chinese, possibly Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), patinated bronze statue depicting Quan Yin seated atop a foo dog lion, all upon a lotus form base, together with a hardwood stand. 12" H x 7" W x 4.25" D (without stand). Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).
