Description Pair of Chinese 18th-century bronze plates with silver and gold inlay decoration depicting flowers and lily pads along a pond's edge. Geometric decoration along the edges. Marked along the undersides.Provenance: Collection of Bruce Dayton & Ruth Stricker Dayton, Minnesota.Condition Report Both items are in fair condition with no visible cracks or losses, or major dents. Both items show wear throughout. Minute dents along the edges. Bronze oxidation as shown in the listing image. Dust collected along the incised lines. To the center of the plate captured left in the listing image has minute losses to the gold gilding; along the lower left margin, there is an approx. 3 inches long mark; please see the listing image; along the underside, there are three stickers adhered. To the plate, captured right in the image, to the left center, there is an area with adhesive residue; along the underside, there are two stickers adhered.
