Description Group of two Kapton insulation fragments from the Apollo 11 Command Module "Columbia." One side showing the gold foil that was affixed to the CM; the other side showing the blue-tinted silver side that would have been exposed to space. Removed from Command Module #107 after flying an 8-day 953,000-mile journey to the moon and back. Housed in a protective plastic case affixed to a certificate of authenticity.Condition Report The fragments are in excellent condition. The fragments are housed in a protective circular plastic case with black foam. The certificate is in excellent condition with no visible issues.Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
