本品屏身硬木格角榫攒边，下承镂空木座，做工考究，色泽深沉静穆，包浆莹润醇厚。屏心嵌粉彩长方瓷板，瓷质细腻，成型规整，尺寸较大却毫不变形，背板垫砂烧制，为乾隆时期瓷板烧制特征。瓷板绘画精妙考究，以粉彩描绘二十四孝之弃官寻母人物故事图。庭院内芭蕉高耸，湖石嶙峋，草木华滋，见一仕者伫立于小阁前，双手作揖，正拜谒阁内老妇，门外见一妇人一童好奇张望。画面中仕者则为宋代著名孝子朱寿昌，老妇则为其生母刘氏。
