铜质，色泽深沉，包浆醇厚。整器呈弧形“山”字状，雕作鱼尾入水化为祥龙出水之吉祥样式，寓意“金榜题名”“平步青云”。其下一周刻绘海水纹，是以波涛汹涌之势。龙昂首翘尾，威风凛凛，动态十足，给人以大气磅礴之感。底下配以精制浮雕海水纹紫檀木座，气韵相和，更添古致。
