Meijer schreibt das Gemälde Maria Weenix zu.Auf einer beigen Steinplatte, die sorgsam arrangierten Früchte: Eine große helle und blaue Traubenrispe, eine angeschnittene orange Melone, Pfirsiche, Pflaumen, die teils unterhalb der Steinplatte am Boden liegen, und daneben ein paar Haselnüsse. Im Hintergrund, halb von Blättern verdeckt, eine Brüstung und der Blick auf einen hohen Himmel. Malerei in überwiegend zurückhaltender Farbgebung, die Früchte durch ihre Farbgebung und gesetzte Glanzlichter besonders hervorgehoben.Anmerkung:Maria Weenix wurde das Malen von ihrem Vater Jan Weenix (1640/41-1719) beigebracht. Zu ihrer Zeit wurde sie besonders für ihre Blumenstillleben bewundert. Sie begleitete ihren Vater an den Hof des Kurfürsten Johann Wilhelm. (13517516) (18)
