It was his habit at the time to make a drawing of each new acquisition and to record the provenance and full descriptive details.For comparables of the bi disc, see three late Neolithic examples in the Taipei Palace Museum, illustrated in A Catalogue of the Palace Museum's Special Exhibition of Circular Jades, Taipei, 1995, cat. nos 10, 11 and 14, with the first two examples attributed to the Qijia culture.
