Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Ca. 2000-1500 BC. The face is flat, compartmented, and has the shape of a rhomb. The back is solid and first rises like a pyramid to the base of a stalk handle where there is a carefully ridged band. The handle has a pierced knob on top. The design consists of two spiraling lines joined by inverted V-shapes, the spiraling line alone starting from the rim. One side is damaged, otherwise, it is in good condition. The incrustation on the surface could be removed. Accompanied by a signed scholarly note by Professor Wilfrid George Lambert.Size: L:26mm / W:18.9mm ; 15.1gProvenance: Private UK collection; From an old British collection formed in the 1990s.
