Ca. 1100 AD. A bronze cruciform pendant with four arms with segmented decoration and flaring outwards finials. A rounded suspension loop projects from the top. The Cross is the principal symbol of Christianity, recalling the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death. The cross is thus a sign both of Christ himself and of the faith of Christians. This item reflects the enduring value of the cross as an enduring symbol of faith through the ages.
