Description: Large figurine of Calliope from a series of the "Nine Muses and Apollo". She sits, dressed in a light yellow robe and a richly decorated breastplate, on a curved rocaille pedestal. Over one shoulder falls a cloak decorated with flowers. On her head rests a tiara. In one hand she holds a spear, with the other a stylus. In her lap lies an open book. Next to her right hip, on a shield, lies her helmet. Measurement: Height 40cm. Mark: Swordsmark, 70518. Calliope is the muse of epic poetry, scholarship and philosophy. Her attributes are a writing board, a book and a stylus. According to the legend, she is the oldest and highest-ranking Muse.
