TWO WHITE JADE CARVINGS OF MYTHICAL BEASTS (3)THE PROPERTY OF A BRITISH FAMILY英國家族藏品TWO WHITE JADE CARVINGS OF MYTHICAL BEASTSThe first, Song/Ming dynasty, a dragon carved standing foursquare on a cluster of vaporous clouds, with its head held proud as its tail flicked up, the face with alert expression, grasping a lingzhi in its mouth, 5.5cm (2 1/8in) long, wood stand; the second, Ming dynasty, a tianlu, carved in the round standing foursquare, the head crowned with a single horn the face rendered with bulging eyes beneath small pointed ears, 4.1cm (1 7/8in) high.
