A Chinese lilac bolt of silk damask woven with bold symbols of long life, including Shou and long life bats, 656cm x 76cm   This would have been woven to make into an informal robe for a high ranking court lady. Probably adding fibre embroidered edgings, reflecting the bold patterns favoured by the ladies of the later Qing court 晚清 绛色福寿纹暗花缎 Condition Report: minor wear to the top and bottom edges but otherwise very good condition
