A LARGE ARCHAISTIC CELADON JADE ‘CHILONG’ BELT HOOKChina, 20th century. Superbly crafted in the style of the Han Dynasty, displaying superior workmanship, all completely executed in manual carving and chiseling. The curved shaft is carved in high relief with three sinuous chilong while the hook is carved in the form of a beast head. The semi-translucent stone of a celadon tone with cloudy white inclusions and surface alterations.Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, few natural fissures and minuscule nibbling here and there. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent. Acquired in the Hong Kong antiques market in the early 1990s. Weight: 210 g Dimensions: Length 17 cm
