AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÉ BOWL WITH FLOWERS AND BIRDSChina, style of the Tang dynasty - dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The bowl with deep round sides supported on a short foot ring, the exterior as well as the interior adorned with neatly incised archaistic patterns, stylized flying birds and floral motifs.Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and age, rubbing to the gilt, slight warping, and areas of malachite and cuprite encrustations, especially to the interior and foot ring. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
