AN ARCHAISTIC FIRE-GILT COPPER REPOUSSÉ DISHChina, style of the Tang dynasty - dating to the late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or slightly later. The lobed dish decorated with archaistic patterns, embossed to the center with a flying bird surrounded by foliated scrolls, and the rim adorned with a band of foliated scrolls as well.Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear, rubbing to the gilt, surfaces scratches, and areas of malachite encrustations, especially to the underside of the dish. Provenance: Estate of Wolfgang Zacke (1942-2022), co-founder of Galerie Zacke, thence by descent.
