说明：拍品为玛瑙整雕而成，玛瑙冰洁盈润，料美无暇。童子盘踞坐与鼓前，童子头梳双髻，宽额阔口，细眼蒜鼻，面带笑容，双手执槌击鼓。童子背伏一鹿，鹿背点缀梅花，身侧小鹿四肢蜷于腹下而卧。 童子击鼓，寓意“欢欣鼓舞”， 亦颇具童趣，洋溢着嬉戏快乐之态。击鼓童子是明清时较为常见的题材，童子造型多样，形体写实，或站、或立、或蹲、或跪、或卧等，且多以玉为材，玛瑙整料雕琢则少见之。
