A suite of seven very interesting Mao red paper-cut propaganda posters. These posters are described as very rare and a complete set is in the archives of the University of Michigan.

Provenance: Montreal, protected in original cardboard containers stenciled CHONG WAH noodle mfg. Co. Inc., Montreal, Quebec.

Condition Report: A suite of seven rare Mao red paper-cut posters. 1st Poster: Appears to be in good condition, with vibrant colours and clear outlines. The paper shows signs of yellowing, commensurate with age, there is a slight stain going down the back, along with a puncture marks from tacks. 2nd Poster: Appears to be in good condition, with vibrant colours and clear outlines. It has a small stain, located on the bottom left hand corner and a small border rip on the bottom left hand side. 3rd Poster: Appears to be in good condition, with vibrant colours and clear outlines. There is a red smudge located on the depiction of Mao and on the bottom left hand side, there is also a red ink stain on the right hand side. There are puncture marks, also attributed to hanging and a stain on the back. 4th Poster: Appears to be in good condition, with vibrant colours and clear outlines, with a slight water mark located below the depiction of Mao's head and a stain located on the back. 5th Poster: Appears to be in fair condition, with a slight discoloration and clear outlines. The top corner has been ripped with a small rip on the bottom right hand side. There is a water stain located above the fourth figure from the right. 6th Poster: appears to be in fair condition, with a red paint stain on the top right corner on the back and a smaller stain towards the middle, also on the back. There is a small rip on the right hand border and an uneven edge that has seemingly been cut off. 7th Poster: Appears to be in good condition, with vibrant colours and clear outlines. It appears to be creased, likely attributed to the original printing process on the top left hand corner. There is also a small stain on the bottom left hand border.
