Originally studying medicine in Tianjin, Dr. Wan graduated in 1889 and returned to Guangzhou to work at the Pok Chai (Boji) Hospital and also ran a clinic with Dr. Sun Yat-sen there during the years 1891-1896. Afterwards he relocated to Hong Kong, where he was first affiliated with the Nethersole Hospital. Dr. Wan was also the founding president of the Hong Kong Chinese Medical Association (HKCMA), the predecessor of the Hong Kong Medical Association.黃鼎　桂林八景　設色金箋　冊頁八開　一七二三年作朱軾對題並跋簽條：黃尊古先生〈桂林八景〉，甲子冬節,在家僧題。款識：（一）堯山冬雪。獨得嵯峨勢，神堯亦耐冬。那堪紅日照，疑有白雲封。磅礴千尋上，乾坤一色濃。晶瑩如可照，圖畫寫重重。癸卯（1723）秋，可亭老先生教正，黃鼎。高安朱君是余舊交也。今奉簡命出都，道經粵境，旋返旆歸里。征塵甫拭，同游桂林獨秀諸山，頗有興致，留連再四，有所難置，因出素紙索圖，用記一時之勝。是就所歷之處，列成八景，肖其形似者，恐難擬其萬一，勉强應命，聊備閑時展玩而已，獨往客鼎並識。對題：堯山。粵山多石，而堯山獨土，雄厚磅礴，連亙數邑；將兩則白雲先起，冥濛漸合，若雪壓群峰，晶瑩四照，儼然李營邱圖畫也。三王絫成垚，川氣冒之上，雲譎波亦詭，摧嶉殊萬狀。六月飛玉霙，誰家洴澼纊。雍正癸卯（1723）九月既望，高安朱軾並題。鈐印：軾印（二）隱山六洞。壁立峰頭峙，深林映夕陽。千山留古蹟，群佛陋時粧...
