Sturdily potted with a slightly ovoid compressed globular body resting on a countersunk foot, the exterior decorated with large blooming peonies borne on leafy branches extending in various directions, inscribed with a Tihe dian zhi ('Made at the Hall of Embodied Harmony') hall mark, all against an even yellow ground and below key-fret and ruyi borders encircling the rim.
