She wears a long ribbed dhoti secured with an elaborate belt with beaded festoons and multiple necklaces, including the sacred thread about her torso. Her rounded face with almond-shaped eyes is surmounted by a conical headdress. The tresses of her hair are arranged in spiralling roundels along each ear in a manner shared with another Parvati sold Sotheby's London 11 October 1990 and a Bhudevi in Neven,Sculpture des Indes, Brussels, 1978, p. 114, no. 83.
