高20.8cm宽13cm重1.4公斤莲花生大师对于西藏佛教产生过巨大而深远的影响，是藏传佛教共同的祖师，宁玛派将其视为根本上师。其形象为头戴莲花冠，帽顶的翎毛代表着证悟最高境界，右手于胸前以期克印持金刚杵，左手托嘎巴拉碗，内盛智慧甘露，结全跏跌坐于仰覆莲座上。本像在造型上，亦采用了这一莲花生大师的典型形象。其表情宁静而不失威严，双目炯炯有神。僧衣样式精美，刻绘精细，作内外两层，内为交领式，腰间束腰带，外披法衣上满浮雕连珠纹及卷草纹饰，线条流畅自然，衣摆自然垂至莲台边缘，富有写实效果，工艺精湛。通体鎏金，金水丰腴肥美，宝光泽泽，保存完好，极具艺术性和收藏价值。
