说明：本品造型小巧，以白玉为材，质地细腻。顶端为弧形，顶中心打孔，轴身为圆柱形，轴身近底部雕刻如意云纹，顶端及中部雕刻戏珠龙纹。整器雕工细腻，纹饰繁而不乱，充满动感。宋代鉴赏家周密在《齐东野语·绍兴御府书画式》记述：“其装褾裁制，各有尺度……上、中、下等唐真迹，用红霞云锦褾，碧鸾鸟绫里，白鸾绫引首，高丽纸贉，白玉轴，檀香木杆。”可见白玉轴为名贵书画装裱之专用配件，规格极高。
