描述： 清代文武官员穿着服饰的前胸和后背均缀有一块绣有飞禽或猛兽的绣片，称“补子”。以此来作为品级官位的区别。清代的补子源于明朝，也有所改进和发展，文官的补子品级和图案为：一品仙鹤，二品锦鸡，三品孔雀，四品云雁，五品白鹇，六品鹭鸶，七品鸂鶒，八品鹌鹑，九品练雀。
本品九品练雀补子一块，石青缎地子上盘金绣绣法为主制成，补子下方海水江崖，波涛翻滚，中间一石凸起。其上白色雀一只，昂首挺胸，双翅伸展，立于江崖之上。左上角为一轮红日，周围云纹、蝙蝠等图案。颜色沉稳，绣工繁复精细。即使在当年也定是花费不菲，具有较高的收藏价值。
