The cover crisply carved with two warriors immersed in a discussion, one resting on a rock, the background rendered in different layers of diapered pattern with a pine tree, rocks, and mountains, framed by a key fret border. The sides of the cover and base with a layered foliate design, a lotus lapped border framing the base. The interior and base covered in black lacquer.Provenance: From a German private collection.
