The vase of flattened baluster form decorated with flowering branches, a young boy, and birds, the cover with a reticulated metal mount, standing on a wood base which is attached to a bronze lamp mount.Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, the stone with natural fissures, which may have developed into thin hairlines. Provenance: From the private collection of Michael B. Weisbrod, New York, USA. Michael B. Weisbrod is a noted scholar of Chinese art, who has published extensively on the subject over a time span of more than 50 years. In 1972, Michael joined his father Dr. Gerald Weisbrod’s Asian art gallery in Toronto, Canada.
